Admin/Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an Admin/Accounting Assistant to carry out daily bookkeeping tasks that will support our financial team. The responsibilities of the Admin/Accounting Assistant encompass bank reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, and assisting with other accounting activities. If you possess an Accounting degree and are keen on acquiring experience in bookkeeping procedures, we would be delighted to meet you. Ultimately, your contribution will play a vital role in maintaining the seamless operation of our Accounting department, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Expected hours: 25-30 per week

Responsibilities

  • Booking meetings and scheduling events

  • Answer incoming calls; taking messages and redirecting phone calls

  • Dealing with email enquiries

  • General office management such as ordering office supplies etc

  • Bank accounts & business credit cards reconciliation

  • Categorize all banking & credit card transactions

  • Close the books for each month

  • Maintain digital financial records

  • Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations

  • Work closely with Accountant

 

Skills

  • 2 years of work experience as a Accounting Assistant or Bookkeeper

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures

  • Familiarity with finance regulations

  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors

  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)

  • Communication, Organization, Problem Solving skills

  • Punctuality and work ethic

  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field

 

Experience: Bookkeeping: 2 years (Required)
